2010 Wellness EXPO a SUCCESS!!!!

The Third annual Wellness EXPO organized as a special project under the direction of Megan Mitchell, Student Director, Health and Wellness Center, was held in Krannert Ballroom, on September 23, from 10-2.  The EXPO is an ANY ANY event sponsored primarily by the Health and Wellness Center with the collaboration of several on campus departments and offices.

GYN services on Campus

 
Caye Burch, a family nurse practitioner provides specialized women's health care for undergraduate students on campus every Monday from 12:00 noon to 4:30 PM.  Just call the Health and Wellness Center at 706-236-2267 to make an appointment.  There is a one time yearly (12 month) fee of $150.00 for these services which include, but are not limited to, female physical exam, breast exam, thyroid exam, and GYN exam with unlimited return visits for the year.  Feel free to call the Health and Wellness Center if you have questions.

Hours of Operation

*The Health and Wellness Center is open M-F from 8 am to 5 pm unless the college is closed.
*Staff includes two full time Registered Nurses, a Family Nurse Practitioner, a Medical Director, and some of the nicest students   around.
*The nurse practitioner is on campus Monday afternoons and the Medical Director on Thursday mornings.  An appointment is needed to see them, just call 706-236-2267 to make arrangements.
*RNs are available during operating hours to manage illness and injury treatment without an appointment.
*A "self treatment" center is stocked with commonly used over the counter medications such as Tylenol, Pepto-Bismol, first aid supplies, decongestants and more.  Just come by and pick up what you need at no cost.
