I. Nature of Committee
A. Charge/Mission - the Graduate Council shall be the graduate academic legislative body of the college. The Graduate Council shall have responsibility for passing upon the acceptability of all graduate courses and programs proposed, all graduate faculty, and all graduate degree requirements. [F/SH pg. C. Meeting Times - 11:00 am, third Tuesday of every month
II. General Composition of Committee
Provost serves as chair; associate provost; the director of each graduate program; the dean of the School of Education and Human Sciences; the dean of the Campbell School of Business; the registrar; one faculty member elected by and from faculty teaching at the graduate level in education; one faculty member elected by and from the graduate faculty teaching the MBA program; one faculty member nominated by and from graduate faculty in the disciplines offering courses in support of the M.Ed. But not offering a master’s; two representatives from the Faculty Assembly; one graduate student from business; one graduate student from education; president, director of libraries and dean of admissions serve as ex officio.
